Till

Manual Entering of Instore Coupon and Voucher Barcodes

It is now possible to manually enter a coupon or voucher barcode at tender time; this can be used in the event where a coupon or voucher will not scan.

Auto Log In As Self Checkout Option

A new global till option has been added to automatically log the till in as self checkout once it has reached the Idle Till Auto Log out limit. 

Zapper Self Checkout

Zapper is now available for use via the self checkout. The customer can choose to tender via Zapper on the self checkout if it has been configured, they will then be shown a QR code to scan via the Zapper App. Once the customer has paid for the basket via Zapper the self checkout will automatically tender the basket and show the screen for the next user.

Shift Reconciliation

Notifications have been added to the Z Read Button to highlight when Unreconciled shifts are on the Till. Also it will show the number of Unreconciled Shifts there are (shown above). The Z Read Screen has been updated to highlight any shift that has not been reconciled will be highlighted as red.

Customer Account Verified By PIN Receipt 

AVAIL IN 8.5

When an account is verified by PIN number, set against the customer account, it will not print the name and signature lines on the receipt.  It will instead say "Verified By PIN".

Back Office

Bulk Removing Articles From A Layaway

When adding articles to a layaway using the new article search screen (used for orders, stock takes, message triggers, deals, stock transfers, credit account exceptions) it is sometimes easier to use the search to add a large number of articles (like a whole department) and then remove a smaller amount of searched articles (like a whole commodity group).  This can now be done without removing each article in the Layaway tab.  There is a new "Remove From Layaway" button shown on the search screen and this can be used to remove any number of articles selected from the layaway.  There is still also the "Remove From Layaway" button the the Layaway tab that can be used to remove selected articles there too.

Only articles that currently exist in the layaway will be removed.  The number of articles successfully removed is shown below the search box.

Ordering Screen - Removing Reductions From Sales

There is new a new column on the Order Line tab of the Order Screen called Avg Daily Sales Exc Red (this is to show the average daily sales excluding reductions).

The graphs at the bottom of the screen can now show information that exlcudes reductions from the sales, by selecting the Exclude Reductions From Sales check box.

Turning On FIFO

Now when FIFO gets turned On from Off, FIFO records will get created for all the current stock controlled articles that have stock against it. They are created using the current cost.

Child Barcodes

You can now associate Child Barcode's with an Article, allow you to scan any child barcode to bring the article  into the basket. Further detail can be found here : Adding Child Barcodes to an Article.

Batch Processing Screen

The Batch Processing screen (Management > Batch Processing) now includes an additional "In Stock" column on the Batch Lines tables on each of the Main, Promotions and History tabs.

The new column shows the current stock level for each of the articles listed in the various batches.

The Batch Processing screen has been updated for both Back Office and Head Office applications.

Xero Export

Exporting Sale Summaries to Xero is now available. Please note the Shortcut "Sage Export by Date" has been renamed to "Account Export by Date" as this will either export for Sage or Xero Depending on the setup.

ESEL Deals

You can now create a batch process to upload/send to the ESEL solution as part of the send ESEL process. If there are multiple deals for the one product, the will be added to the description followed by a forward slash ie(deal1/deal2).

ESEL Solution SoluM

EDEGEPoS now interfaces with the ESEL supplier SoluM. See Electronic Shelf Edge Labels (ESELs) for more general info on ESELs.

Complete Button on Order Screen

AVAIL IN 8.3

New option added to show a Complete button on the Orders screen. This allows you to complete an order without exporting it. This would be used for creating orders for Suppliers you do not wish to create an export file for.

End Date on Promotion Screen - Article Maintenance

In article Maintenance > Promotions button a new field has been added which displays the end date of the promotion.

Updating Cases and Case Cost on Order

Added the ability to update the ordered cases and the case cost from the Order Lines screen in orders. 

Article Search Changes

Two new columns have been added to show the On Order and On Grn amounts within the search. On mouse rollover of the cell a supplier breakdown of the quantities is shown.  

A new limit has been added to restrict the number of records returned in a search. This defaults to 1000. 

Goods Receiving

AVAIL IN 8.4

Manually adding GRN lines via the clicking of the [ Add ] button as shown below on the Goods > Receiving screen now supports adding articles which have not previously been received from / associated with the supplier to which the GRN refers.

Prior to this it was only possible to add lines to a GRN for articles which were already associated with the supplier. This had previously required the user to first update the article details via opening the Article Maintenance screen (Maintenance > Article), searching for the article and then clicking [ Add ] on the Suppliers tab prior to adding GRN lines for that article and supplier.

Goods Receiving Notes / Invoices which are received electronically via EDGEPoS' Remote Transfer functionality have always supported this additional behaviour.

Search speed improvement for new Article Search Screen via Multi Client PC

Remove articles from promotion in the Order Line screen

When in the order line screen there is now an option to "Remove From Promotion" on right click of any of the lines in the order.  If a single line is selected then it will remove this article from ALL promotions that it is currently on and if it the last article on that promotion it will also de-active the promotion.  The multi-select column on the order lines can also be used select multiple articles and remove them all from ALL promotions.

HMRC Tax export to Excel

A new shortcut has been added which will allow retailers to export their Tax reports to an excel spreadsheet. More information on using this can be found here, Excel Tax Export - Making Tax Digital.

Head Office

Backoffice Deals at Head Office

You now have full control of Backoffice deals at Head Office. You can Update, Activate, Deactivate and Delete a Backoffice Local or Backoffice CM deal at HO. See Backoffice Deals at Head Office.

Updating Head Office Deals

It is now possible to add/remove shops from a Head Office deal using the "Update" button on the Deal Maintenance screen. For further information, see Deals at Head Office

Report Favourites & Report Scheduler using both PDF and Excel

Report Favourites are now able to work with reports in both the PDF and, for selected reports, the Excel format. This also allows Report Scheduler to function in the same way. Lost Opportunity

Report which shows where sales have been lost. Calculated using the average daily sales over a 4 week period and flagging how many days out of this 4 week period there where no sales and how many of these the article was out of stock. Also shows if the article was on promotion. Below is an example this report.


Stock Transfer 

Added groupings to the stock transfer report so it is grouped by Department, Sub-Department and Commodity Group. 

Stock Transfer Summary

New report showing a list of articles and the qtys for transfers In, Out and department transfers with a summary by department at the bottom.


Plu Listing

A new column has been added to the plu listing report which contains a list of profile numbers which each article is assigned to. 


Reductions

A new column to the reductions report which shows the percentage by which the article has been reduced by.


Goods Summary 

New report which shows Goods Received and goods Returned and a total of Goods Received - Goods Returned sorted by supplier

Non Scanned Barcodes

Temperature Readings

The format of the Temperature Readings report has been updated. The time has also been added into the date field.

New report added to show the quantity of reductions created over a 13 week period.

Stocktake Reports

You are now able to run Stocktake reports on the Head Office for a specific linked Back Office.

If you run a Stocktake report from the current screen it will try to generate a report for the HO number, if you want to see a report for a specific BO store linked to the head office click the lookup icon (magnifying glass). A pop up screen will appear as show below:


 


From this screen you can now click the Retailer dropdown to select a store and fill in the rest of the search terms and filter, select the report you want from the grid and click ok. The pop up screen will disappear and when you click the run button on the previous screen it will generate a report for the selected store.

Excel Reports

Excel Reports can now be run 5 at a time without having to wait for them to finish, As they are running a count will show how many are currently being built will be against the Report in the Report Tree to the left of the screen. Once a report has completed a green notification, showing the count of reports that have recently built will show on the excel tab.

CG Sales and GP 

The CG Sales and GP Report has been converted to an Excel Report to allow you to choose to run it either as a normal report or the excel version. This is available at both the Back Office and Head Office.

CG Sales and GP (All Shops)

A new report has been added to the head office reports that will show a breakdown of the CG sales and GP report but for all shops on the head office. This Report will be in a new excel format, as shown above.

Department Sales (All Shops)

A new Excel report has been added at Head Office which will show the Department sales for all shops in Excel format.


Price Variance (All Shops)

A new Excel report has been added at Head Office which will show all articles with a different price or promotion price.  This report also highlights articles that have a difference in their reversion price 

Price Override Sales and Wastage (All Shops)

A new Excel report has been added at Head Office which will show the reductions and wastage for all shops in Excel format.

VAT / GST Summary

The VAT / GST Summary Report has been converted to an Excel Report to allow you to choose to run it either as a normal report or the excel version. This is available at both the Back Office and Head Office.

VAT / GST Payments

The VAT / GST Payments Report has been converted to an Excel Report to allow you to choose to run it either as a normal report or the excel version. This is available at both the Back Office and Head Office.

Scales

TransBC

The version of the TransBC software which communicates with the scales has been updated to version 202.

HHU

Optional Exclusion of Reduction Label Sales from Sales Summary on Orders Screen

When re-ordering a specific article via the Hand Held (HHU) Orders screen (Goods > Order menu), the HHU shows recent sales data for that article to the user, to help inform the user as to the quantity of items to order.

An option, set on the Back Office, has been added which now allows the user to exclude reduction label sales from that sales data.

That option exists on the Back Office in System > Shop Options, on the Back Office HHU tab, and is labelled "Exclude Reduction Label Sales" as shown below:

Pricing - Reduction Screen

When reducing an already reduced article, the HHU Pricing > Reduction screen now displays the reduction percentage from the previous reduction within brackets next to the current price.

The pre-selected value in the % drop-down list now shows the next highest reduction percentage. The New input box is automatically pre-populated with the price value associated with the next highest reduction percentage.

The example below shows the screen after a reduction label for the article FANTA ORANGE has been scanned via the HHU Pricing > Reduction menu.

The existing reduction label had reduced the article price by 10% from £1.85 to £1.67.

25 has been pre-selected in the % drop-down list; this being the next highest reduction percentage above 10%. The New input box has been pre-populated with £1.39 which is the price associated with a further 25% reduction.

Reduction Barcodes

The Scanning of reduction barcodes through all HHU screens is now supported.

Price Check Displays Current Stock Level

When using the Hand Held Unit to check the price of an article via the Pricing > Price Check screen, the current stock level for the article is now displayed:

If the article is a weighed article, then the current stock value is displayed as a kg value. For example, "Current Stock: 1.76 kg".
