Till

Print fuel Receipt

Global Till option on back office to turn the fuel receipt on or off on all Tills. More information can be found here; Receipt Options.

Tender Messages

On the Till you can set up messages which will be displayed after the tender button is clicked. These messages are set up on the back office and they can check the contents of the basket and trigger the message depending on whats in the basket. E.g. you can set up a message for if there is no fuel in the basket then ask the customer if they have any fuel. More information on set up etc can be found here; Message Triggers.

Minimum Spend for Staff Discount

An option has been added to the back office options to set a minium limit on the amount which has to be spent for discount to be applied when pressing the staff discount button. 

Receipt Refunds

An option has been added to the back office options to allow customer receipts to be refunded against multiple times.

Receipt lines can now be refunded at an item level. More information around both changes can be found here: /wiki/spaces/ED/pages/109949482.

Advanced Age Checking

There is a new option for advanced age checking. Please see Age Checking and Hours of Sale for more details.

Age Check Button

There is a new button on the till that allows you to carry out an age check before scanning the article. See Age Checking and Hours of Sale for more details.

New Option to Blank Till Screen After Set Idle Time

A new option has been added to allow the till to clears it main and extended grids after a sales, after a set number of seconds.

Variable Credit Card Surcharge

A different surcharge can be set against each type of manual cards. This is set up through the Manual Credit Cards screen /wiki/spaces/EDS/pages/13008908. More information on how the surcharge works can be found here /wiki/spaces/EDS/pages/12615701.

New Option to Auto Close the Background Process

There is a new global till option to "Auto Close BGP" that can be set on the Back Office.  When this option is on the BGP will automatically close when the till software exits.  This is especially useful for BP sites.

New Option to set 02 and 20 barcodes as normal products 

AVAILABLE 4.4

There are two new options to allow 02 and 20 barcodes to be treated as normal products. If the below options are set to false then 02 and 20 barcodes will not get the price from the barcode, but get it from the price on the backoffice.

New Option to Disable Multiply (X) Button

There is now an option available to prevent the use of the multiply button on the Till.

The option can be set on the Back Office via the Options → Global Settings → General tab, or on the Till via the Options → General tab.

If set to "True", on pressing the multiply button the cashier will be alerted that this functionality is disabled and each item must be scanned individually. 

The last 7 days of unreconciled shifts are now highlighted on the ZRead screen

AVAILABLE 4.4

The ZRead screen now highlights any unreconciled shifts from the last 7 days. There is a summary count and the run day of the unreconciled shift is highlighted in the dropdown calendar.

The ZRead screen can now be accessed when the till is logged out

Remove Sagepay TMS call from first transaction

AVAILABLE 4.9

The Sagepay option to perform a TMS call after the first transaction each day can now be turned off and done manually via the Credit Card Admin menu option.

  1. Untick the "Perform TMS call after first transaction of the day" option in the PayRouter Guardian Configuration Utility on the till and save.
  2. Add the CreditCardAdmin menu item to the till.

Back Office

Turn FIFO off by department and Commodity Group

In back Office > Department under each department and sub department there is a new check box for excluding FIFO. The option is off by default. This option will stop any more FIFO records from being created.

Add update and Delete FIFO records

In article and Fuel maintenance FIFO records can be added, updated and deleted. For more information on FIFO see; FIFO.

Report Scheduler

It is now possible to set up Report Schedules via the Report Favourites screen, below; this allows the running of reports based on a selected date and time, and either, saved to a specific PDF file, e-mailed, or printed to the systems default printer. Fuel Bunkering Cards

Fuel bunkering cards can now be added to the back office. When the fuel card is scanned at the till there is an option to exclude these sales from reports. More information on Fuel Bunkering can be found here; Fuel Bunkering

Cafe Tax

It is now possible to set an article up to apply a separate tax rate where applicable. This incorporates a new Back Office option to select a tax code as the "Cafe Tax Code", a Global Till option to choose whether to use the Cafe Tax, a new setting against the commodity group or the Article itself, and also changes to Receipt Extra Info setup to accommodate selecting whether or not to apply the cafe tax rate. Internal Stock Transfers

Stock can be transferred from the shop stock into a Coffee Machine or a Deli for example. More information on Internal Stock Transfers can be found on the main Stock Transfer page here.

New Search For Stock Takes

When creating a partial stock take the article search is now done using the new search screen for easier searching.  More information on the new search screen can be found here.

Invoice Upload - Error and Warning Notifications

AVAILABLE 4.4

A popup screen will now be displayed on the Back Office Goods > Receiving screen when one or more errors are identified when uploading an invoice.

The popup screen may also include other information such as in the example below, where it reports:

  • A voided version of a new invoice already existed in the system. During the upload, a message was displayed to the user asking if the voided invoice should be deleted, to which the user replied no.
  • An invoice received in the latest upload already existed.

After an invoice has been uploaded, it is possible to later review any errors or other messages relating to the original upload of the invoice (and other invoices which were included in the same file or group of files) by highlighting the appropriate row in the Goods Received grid and then clicking with the mouse on the [ Messages ] button shown below:

 

If no errors or warnings were generated during the upload of the highlighted invoice, then the [ Messages ] button is invisible.

Order Codes

AVAILABLE 4.9

You can set up different Supplier Order Codes for different Case Sizes allowing you to order that particular Case Size. See Ordering Codes for full details.

Head Office

Retrograde Fuel Costs 

The Retrograde Fuel Cost option had been added to Head Office. If it is ran on a BackOffice, it needs to be done separately on the Head Office, as this information does not sync between the two. See Retrograde Fuel Costs for details.

HHU

Auto Logout

An option has been added to the Back Office options to set the idle time logout in minutes.  Once this length of time has been reached with no activity on the handheld it will automatically logout.  Please note that for this to work correctly the sleep setting on the handheld must be greater than the idle time logout option in the Back Office.

Ordering Daily Sales

AVAILABLE 4.1

The daily sales for the article is now displayed for the last 7 days (increased from 4 days).  Note that if using Internet Explorer (the Honeywell HHU) only 4 days will be displayed. 

Deals

Additional Must Buy Group

All must buy related deals now have a 4th must buy group.

Must Buy Group Descriptions

Each Must Buy group can now be given a description. This is used when informing the Cashier about deals upselling.

Deal Trigger Limit

The number of times a deal can fire within a single basket can now be limited.

Deal Upselling

A deal can now be set for deal upselling. This will show a message on the till at the tender stage to show the Cashier of any potential deals that the customer may have. Each upselling message is shown based on a threshold setup against the deal. If the deal is within two items of the deal firing then the upselling message will show. 

Mix Match Percentage Off Deal

Percentage Off Basket deal has been renamed to Mix Match Percentage Off.
